After the frustrating draw against Southampton in the Premier League, Chelsea is back to the winning ways after a well-deserved 1-0 away win against Atletico Madrid in the Last 16 of the Champions League. It’s not a fully convincing performance from the blues as the players again lacking in the cutting edge and being poor in the final third but Chelsea was the better side for the majority of the match. Atletico Madrid sits deep for the majority of the match but they looking dangerous when they counterattack it yet still Chelsea was able to deal with that. In the attacking sense, Chelsea looking dangerous as well but yet again it was the same issue for them as they lack in the cutting edge and final 3rd of pass. Chelsea is back in the top 4 spots since December 2020 after a 2-0 win against Newcastle as the blues continuing their fine form under Thomas Tuchel. It’s a game of 2 different halves from Chelsea, in the 1st half Chelsea played well takes the deserves 2 goal lead, and could have been more than 2 goals for Chelsea. But Newcastle came out in the 2nd half as a better team and created some good chances as well but they couldn’t get past Chelsea’s strong backline.   Tactical and formation change in the 2nd half proved to be the crucial differences as Chelsea beat Barnsley in the FA Cup 5th round. The blues are far from their best against Barnsley who were been well organized defensively and high pressing dangerously. Barnsley dominated in the first half and gave a lot of issues for Chelsea defensively and Chelsea couldn’t do much on the attacking wise but should have got a penalty in the 1st half after Abraham fouled inside the box. But Tuchel made the tactical and formation change in the 2nd half which Chelsea came as a much better team in the 2nd half as Abraham scores the winner for Chelsea as they go through to the next round of the FA Cup. This was one of those games where the chances and creativity lacked from both sides and Chelsea Managed to get all 3 points in a narrow match.   Thomas Tuchel passes his 1st biggest test of Chelsea’s managerial career as Chelsea beat Tottenham in a dominant 1-0 win. His tactics and system is spot on for today’s match as Chelsea should have buried the game by scoring more than a goal. But again the players are failed to convert some of their chances and especially for today’s match the players were massively lacked in the cutting edge and also in the final third. Defensively Chelsea looked solid again as Tottenham only has one clear goal-scoring opportunity for the whole game which they put it wide of the post. In the attack, Chelsea was having a lot good of chances to score more than 1 goal but the lack of cutting edge and poor decision making from the players prevent Chelsea from scoring more goals which the players should improve for the upcoming games.
