Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea; Match Preview and Predicted Line-up

This is Thomas Tuchels first biggest test as a Chelsea manager as Chelsea facing Tottenham in the London derby. The blues yet to concede under Tuchel after the change of the system. Tottenham will be without Harry Kane for this match after he picks up an ankle injury last week but still, they have the quality in the attack with the likes of Son Heung Min and Gareth Bale who can a treat for the Chelsea defense. Chelsea’s attacking qualities also have been improved a lot under Thomas Tuchel but they have to be more clinical enough especially against the Jose Mourinho team. Chelsea has to be very aware of this Tottenham team as they like to sit deep, wait for the clear opening and they’ll instantly counter-attack it which they are dangerous on that.

Chelsea team news; Kai Havertz and Kurt Zouma expected to miss the Tottenham class After they leave the Chelsea training with unknown injury issues. Apart from them, everyone fits for the selection.

Formation and Predicted Lineup

Thomas Tuchel will continue with his 3-4-3 formation against Tottenham as well. With the change of formation, the defending seemed to be much better and there is a much lesser chance to see Tuchel changing his formation at this moment.

Note;(GK-Goal Keeper, CB- Centre Back, LWB- Left Wing Back, RWB-Right Wing Back, CM- Centre Midfield, RF- Right Forward, LF- Left Forward, ST- Striker )

GK- Edouard Mendy- The Best Goal keeper of the club should start and he is the best goalkeeper for Chelsea this season. 2 clean sheets in a row and looking for 3rd in a row but have to stay concentrate against the Tottenham attack.

CB- Azpilicueta – Mr. Consistent. Featuring regularly on the right side of the defense under the new system and should be for this match as well.

CB- Thiago Silva- His experience can be crucial for this match. Again needs to be his best to contain the Tottenham attack.

CB- Ruedigar- The play looks like just reborn under the new manager and will continue to play on the left side of the central defense. Should have to be more concentrated and commanding against the like of Bale or Steven Bergwijn on the left side.

RWB- Hudson Odoi- The best player under the new manager so far. He should be the player who can be a threat to Tottenham's defense for the whole day long and also he might have to do some defensive works against the likes of Son or Locus Moura.

LWB- Ben Chilwell – Chelsea might have to do some crucial defensive works against Tottenham. When it’s come to defending Chilwell is the much better option than Alonso so Tuchel could favor England International for this match.

CM- Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic- Midfield battle can decide this match. Since Thomas Tuchel took over this partnership seemed to click massively for Chelsea. So both will start this match and they have to be at their very best.

LF- Mason Mount-It should be either Pulisic or Mount favorite to start on the left

and it could be Mason Mount after his impressive display against Burnley.

RF- Hakim Ziyech- it might need something special to unlock the Spurs defense and Ziyech has the quality to do so. It’s the right time to start him after he rested in the win against Burnley.

ST- Timo Werner- the German international could get his chance to lead the line against Tottenham. He scored his 1st goal Chelsea against the spurs in the Carbon Cup and hoping to do so again to end his long goal drought for Chelsea.

Substitution

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Andreas Christensen , Reece James , Marcos Alonso, Ngolo Kante, Billy Gilmour , Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham, Oliver Giroud
